Team Sanford-Burnham :Count Down to Disney

Team Sanford-Burnham is a marathon training group we (Team Hendryx) are coaching to run the Walt Disney World 2011 Half marathon and Marathons,Jan 8-9.They are raising money for medical research in many diseases such as diabetes.

  There is one long run practice left,then it's off to the races! We are proud of the fantastic crew that has been putting in the hard training days at the track and long weekend runs. I know that you all are ready and it's going to be a fun weekend to share with fellow runners from around the U.S.A. and the world! You guys are awesome!

So I've had ongoing issues with plantar faciitis. I have been really fortunate lately that I've found the key to keeping it under control. One on the main keys has been my Brooks Glycerin 8's. As soon as I wore them the first time, I had relief from the pain and my feet are very comfortable. I love these shoes!! Not only do they feel great, they look great. I love the powder blue the ladies shoe comes in. I recommend these for the neutral runner putting in the distance.

Health First Tri

Today several Team Hendryx athletes competed in the Health First Tri. It was very hot and if you're here in FLA you know what I mean! 95 degrees is just a little too toasty for my liking. Despite the heat Bill W. placed 1st AG, Sean 1st Master Overall and Kevin J. 2nd AG . Mike R had a good day, but they did not have the results up yet for him, so I can't say how he placed. Mike Russo unfortunately not only flatted, but sliced his tire and had to wait an hour for help. He continued on to finish the race. Great work everyone! BTW, congrats to another Team Hendryx athlete, Dan who qualified for the Boston Marathon today at Chicago. Way to go everyone!

5430 Triathlon

The race is called "5430" because that is the elevation of Boulder,CO where this race took place. Sean and Team Hendryx client Kevin Johnson competed. Being flatlanders from FL , the race was already tough. Sean had a good day finishing 13th in his age group. Kevin J. had a good day as well. The weather was fabulous and as always , the venue gorgeous!.
